Two constables handcuffed the minor after a theft case, Telangana state Child Rights body issued a notice to the Medak Superintendent police. A 14-year-old guy was handcuffed in a bus in front of public and taken to the home.
Reports are saying that Child rights groups are demanding the cops to take action against the 2 constables. Medak SP B Sumathi has reportedly stated that memos have been issued to the constables.

From the Juvenile Justice Act, a minor should not be handcuffed at any cost or even he could not be publicly exposed as a criminal. This minor was allegedly involved in a theft in Medak district and, therefore, brought to Sanga Reddy in Medak District, This boy was caught in public in Jogipet area of Medak District, the cop who is taking him was enquired and shooted a video, constable replied this guy was criminal and being taking to the court in Nizamabad.
There is an incident of accused running away from the custody, therefore, he was handcuffed, SP added to the media.Local channels aired this video of the boy who handcuffed in the public and found the policeman in plain clothes. This boy belongs to Uttar Pradesh.
“The Medak district legal services authority has also taken serious note of the incident. The authority said it would suo motu register a case.”
Locals are saying that the boy was handcuffed even in the bus when he sat beside the cop. Medak Cops are saying that “Sources from the district police said the escort constables were being extra cautious following the escape of a gang of robbers when they were being produced in court last month.”
