The Madhya Pradesh Govt has withdrawn the transfer orders of Whistle blower Anand Rai and his wife regarding Vyapam scam.
The Govt of Madhya Pradesh ha withdrawn the transfer orders of one of the whistle blowers in Vyapam scam Anand Rai and his wife by giving an undertaking before Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh high court.
The Govt said in a statement that Anand Rai and his wife Dr Gauri Rai will be appointed to their original posts within a week. Besides the couple will also be paid the three months salary which is due for last three months.
Anand Rai is campaigning against the violations occurred in Vyapam and Dmat examinations.
Anand Rai has appealed the court earlier alleging that the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan proposed him to cancel the transfer if he stops the campaign against him and his family members.
Dr Anand Rai and his wife were transferred to Dhar following which Anand Rai has appealed in the court alleging that he was being harassed for highlighting the scam and asked the court for cancellation of his transfer orders.
Subsequently on August 6 a stay order has been granted by the High court saying that the transfer was on the grounds his transfer was taken place after Vyapam case was handed over to CBI.
The court has granted a weeks time to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to file counter affidavit.
The state govt has cancelled the transfer orders of the couple instead of filing a counter affidavit.
The Vyapam scam is an admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, senior officials and businessmen in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
