Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 2 alongside the Mi Air Purifier 2 in India last week.
Today the company is putting the Mi Band 2 on sale for the first time. The Mi Band 2, which is priced at Rs 1,999 will be available on mi.com from 12:00PM. The company has not yet revealed the total number of units it will put on sale today, but in case you miss out on buying the wearable today, you can grab it on Amazon India on September 30.
As we all know, the Mi Band 2 is the successor to last year’s Mi Band, which was launched for Rs 999. Xiaomi’s Mi Band 2 is a major upgrade over its predecessors when it comes to the overall design as well as features. The USP of the band is the OLED display, which helps to do away with the need to constantly keep checking the app. The Mi Band had no display and only featured three notification lights, but on the Mi Band 2, you can check fitness data and notifications on the OLED display. Another important feature of the Mi Band 2 is the heart-rate sensor placed at the back, which was missing on the predecessor.
